Bargain Basement Display Dolls

(1966) Blonde Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #1--EX Doll, wears EX original 2-piece bikini with coverup. She is such a lovely doll with perfect minty makeup and long lashes. (one plug is thin) She has no earring holes and no green or paling. Her long, beautiful, silky hair has been retied with replacement bow. The only thing I see wrong are a few empty plugs underneath her tie-ups, which do not show and some flakes in the vinyl above her right eye. Her body is NM. Legs bend and click as they should and she even has hints of her original toe polish. There are no pin pricks. Minor wear to her finger polish and some tiny light green dots on the bottom of her feet. A true beauty for the beginning collector or a stunning gal for display!!

(1966) Blonde Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #2--EX+ Doll, wears original NM 2-piece bikini with coverup. Makeup is absolutely beautiful and lashes are long and luscious. She has an earring hole in each ear and there is greenish fading around each ear. It's the only thing that is keeping her from a NM rating. Kristas Doll Restorations can probably fix this issue. Hair is shiny and beautiful. Original rubberband was cracked so new one was added, along with a new hair ribbon. Body is NM/MINT, even has original toe polish. Polish has faded on one hand. No pin pricks, marks, stains, splits. Just an awesome doll!

(1966) Ash Blonde Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #2--EX+ Doll, wears her GC original bikini bottoms and coverup. This lovely gal has beautiful makeup with just a small amount of wear to her left upper lip. She has all her lashes and gorgeous long hair, retied with replacement ribbon. There is an earring hole at each ear which has caused circles of paling (see pics). Her body is EX+/NM. Both legs bend and there are no marks or stains or pin pricks. Finger polish shows wear and right arm has a miniscule amount of swing. This is one gorgeous display doll but not for the MINT ONLY collector!

(1966) Ash Blonde Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #3--EX Doll, nude. A very pretty girl with nice makeup, perfect long lashes and gorgeous, long, soft hair with replacement ribbon. There is some slight wear to her lip paint and there is an earring hole in each ear with some minor fading. Her body is EX+/NM. Everything is tight, both legs bend and click perfectly. There is one teensy blue speck on the back of her left leg. It's so light that I almost missed it. There are some really microscopic dots on her right knee and about 4 pin pricks that I can see. A little bite mark on the top of her right foot. All of this sounds so bad but it really isn't (see pics). She will make a fabulous display doll! As Is.

(1966) Ash Blonde Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #4--VG+/EX Doll, wears GC original orange coverup only. A very pretty girl with all-original makeup. There is some wear to her lip paint, but otherwise is such a pretty TNT with fantastic blush and most of her long eyelashes. Ponytail has been retied with new ribbon. This head would be NM except that some of the ponytail hairs have been cut. There is an earring hole in each ear, but no green. Her body is VG/EX. Both legs bend and click perfectly, the hips are tight and there are no pin pricks. There is a green spot on the back of the right leg and one on the back of the right heel. She still looks like a million dollar doll! You will LOVE this one! As Is.

(1966) Ash Blonde Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #5--EX Doll, nude. Beautiful makeup and lovely lashes. There is an earring hole at each ear with some light fading at the holes. There is a light area above her right eye, which is hidden by her bangs. She has a very small nose nip that I missed at first glance. She has beautiful, long and silky hair, with no trims or empty hair plugs. Body is EX. Both hips are tight and both knees bend and click as they should. Some very light green spots on her legs and 2 minor pin marks on the back of one leg. Minor wear to the polish. Light dent on right breast. An overall GREAT doll. As Is.

An amazing doll with perfect makeup, perfect lashes and perfect extra-long hair, retied with her original factory ribbon. No earring holes either. She is a real beauty to behold! Her body is MINT/NM with her original factory toe-polish! Everything is tight and both legs bend and click perfectly. No pin pricks, marks or stains. She has slight wear to the polish on her left hand.

She has a rub on her bottom lip and there are earring holes at each ear. One ear has a very tiny bit of paling around the hole. Long, shiny hair has been retied with new ribbon. No empty plugs, cuts or splits. Body is VG/EX. Finger polish is great. Both knees bend and click perfectly and hips are nice and tight. Legs have some pin pricks at the thigh area and the ankle area. No marks or stains. A great doll to play with and dress!! As Is

(1966) Brunette Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #1--EX+/NM Doll, wears her original 2-piece bikini with coverup. A fabulous doll with gorgeous, long, silky hair, retied with original hair ribbon. Her makeup is perfect with no wear. She has nice long lashes, with 2 sparse plugs on her left eye. Each ear does have an earring hole but there is no green and no fading to speak of. Her body is NM. Everything is tight and both legs bend and click perfectly. No pin pricks, marks or stains. She has slight wear to the polish on her left hand. Simply beautiful and the perfect doll for sporting "Romantic Ruffles" with those cute little flower earrings. You will be very happy with this doll!!

(1966) Brunette Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #2--VG+/EX Doll, nude. This display doll is a breathtaking beauty! Her makeup and lashes are MINT. Hair is beautiful with no empty plugs or trims and pony has been retied with new rubberband. There is one earring hole at each ear but no green. No neck splits. Body is EX. Both knees bend and click perfectly. Nail polish shows some wear and tippy tip of right pinky is nipped. No pin pricks marks or stains. Slight fading on left ankle. Her main flaw is a gouge in the vinyl on her forehead. You will never see it unless you lift the bangs. She will make an absolutely awesome model for any mod-era outfit! As Is.

(1967) Brunette Long-Hair Twist and Turn Barbie #1--EX Doll, wears EX original swim top and FC shorts. Awesome gorgeous makeup and beautiful shiny long hair make her so gorgeous. Face paint is NM and it looks like she has all her lashes although a few are shorter. There is one empty hairplug around the back of her head, possibly one on the side (cant really tell) and a couple of pin pricks on the back of her neck. She does have earring holes at each ear and there is some light paling but it's not very bad. Hair has been retied with new ribbon. Body is EX. Both hips are tight and both knees bend perfectly. No nail polish on right hand. Left hand has some, but shows wear. Each ankle has a little fingernail slice but there are no pin pricks to speak of. An absolutely stunning doll!

(1968) Brownette Talking Barbie (Dressed Boxed Doll)--A fabulous MINT Doll, dress in NM Country Caper outfit. Comes in a cardboard Whitman Barbie box with "Talking Barbie wearing Country Caper" displayed on front. This is one of the lovliest talkers I have seen in quite awhile with that soft, sultry look. Her face and hair are factory mint. There are no flaws on her head. No earring holes, neck splits or green. Original factory ribbons still tied in her hair. Body is NM, only because the left leg is loose. No marks. No stains. Just a beautiful dressed doll in an interesting original vintage box.

(1968) Blonde Talking Barbie #1--a beautiful NM/M Doll, wears her EX original swimsuit. A totally gorgeous NM Doll with perfect paint, perfect lashes and perfect hair, still tied in the original factory set. No earring holes, neck splits or empty hair plugs. Her body is EX/NM. There is one small green circle on the back of the left leg and both legs are loose at the hip. They are held on by a rubberband. 1 or 2 minor pin pricks and some insignificant faint dots on one leg. Nothing major. This one's a definite keeper!!

(1969) Brownette Flip Twist and Turn Barbie #1--NM/M Doll, wears her original diamond print swimsuit. All I can say about this one is WOWEE!! She is superb. Perfect factory paint, perfect lashes and huge, gorgeous, shiny flipped hair. There is a tap at one ear, but this could have been from the original hairstring. The only think I see worth mentioning is that some of her spitcurl hairs have been clipped. Her body is NM. Everything is tight and both knees bend and click. No pin pricks, marks or stains. She even has most of her original factory toe polish! What an awesome beauty!

(1970) Blonde Living Barbie--EX Doll with super dynamite MINTY head! Absolutely beautiful, vibrant makeup is perfect as is her gorgeous, blonde shiny hair. No earring holes, empty hair plugs or haircuts. No green anywhere. Body is EX. Torso has some scratch marks. No marks or stains. Left leg does not click. Right arm does not hold pose. A fantastic doll for displaying any mod-era outfit! As Is.

(1970) Brunette Living Barbie #1--NM Doll, wears her original orange coverup. Very high color face with tons and tons of blush. Makeup is perfect as are her lashes. No earring holes, splits or green. Body is NM. Both legs click properly and both elbows hold a pose. One of my favorite dolls! As Is.

(1970) Brunette Living Barbie #2--NM Doll, nude. An absolutely stunning high-color doll with perfect paint and extra-long lashes. Her coloring is superb. I can not find any damage at all on her. No earring holes, green ears, neck splits, empty hair plugs, cuts, pin pricks, marks stains. Body is NM as well, but the right arm will not hold a pose. A great doll for any collection! As Is.

(1971) Blonde Center-Eyed Hair Fair Barbie #1--EX HTF Doll with such a beautiful face. No makeup rubs at all and nice blush. She has the one earring hole in her left ear. No green or fading. No haircuts, neck splits or empty hair plugs. She is just gorgeous. Lashes on her right eye are good but the left eye needs a few new ones added. Body is EX. Both knees bend and click properly. Fingernail polish is mostly there. There is a light green mark on her left leg below her knee and another on on her right heel. Just a beautiful doll for you to dress! As Is.

Her lashes are great but one corner has a shorter lash that needs to be pulled out. No earring holes, neck splits, cut hair or green. Her body is EX+/NM. Everything bends and click fine. 2 minor pin taps on the top of her right foot. A charming girl! As Is.

(1971) Brownette Center-Eyed Flip Twist and Turn Barbie #1--EX/NM Doll, wears her HTF original swimsuit. You dont see this doll too often and this one is in superb shape. Her coloring is great...very close to pink. She has perfect makeup with beautiful full pink lips, perfect awesome long lashes and fantastic hair. I dont think her hair has ever been combed. No earring holes, no neck splits, no empty plugs. Her only flaw is that her spitcurl hairs are clipped. Her body is EX/NM. Knees bend and click perfectly. Nice tight hips and no pin pricks. Only flaw is a small split on the bottom of each foot where the joint pokes out. This is the 1971 HTF body version that comes with no fingernail polish. This doll is simply AWESOME!! If you've been looking for one of these now's your chance to own one of the prettiest around.

(1971) Brownette Center-Eyed Flip Twist and Turn Barbie #2--EX+ Doll, nude. Another HTF beauty in fantastic condition. This one has perfect hair including spitcurl. She has super makeup and fab hair and all her lashes. Her coloring is almost pink (just slightly off). She seems paler on the tip of the nose and tip of the chin. She has a pindot ding below her right jaw line and one on the left. These are very light and not noticeable. Her body is EX. Nice tight hips and no pin pricks. Only flaw is a small split on the bottom of each foot where the joint pokes out and a ding on the side of her right toes. A super doll for your collection!

(1971) Blonde Center-Eyed Flip Twist and Turn Barbie #1--EX Doll, wears her EX original swimsuit (left strap is pulling loose on the rear). I hardly ever come across the blonde version of this doll, so this is a rarity for me to list one. She has a beautiful face with lovely pink lips that have just one spec of wear. She has lots of lashes, but there are 3 plugs on her right eye where the hair is pushed down inside. No earring holes, neck splits, green ear, empty hair plugs or cut hair. Body is EX+. Tight hips and both knees bend perfectly. There are about 3 pin pricks on each leg, at the ankle area. The bottoms of both feet are starting to split where the joint pokes out. What a pretty, pretty doll! As Is.

(1974) Gold Medal Barbie (MIB/NRFB)--NM/M Doll that comes in her original box with all-original accessories, including original head cello, and child's wrist patch. This absolutely gorgeous doll is very mint, but one of her legs is loose at the hip. She has no marks or stains or any other flaws, as she was never played with. Box is EX. It is just missing 2 little side flaps that tuck under the lid. A hard doll to find in the box. A great doll for any collection!

(1974) Sun Valley Barbie--EX+/NM Doll, wears complete original outfit with boots, skis and poles included. What a beautiful malibu doll. Her face paint is mint and she has such beautiful, silky hair. No earring holes, neck splits or green. There are a few strands of hair that have been clipped on the left side but these can be hidden. Her body Ex+/NM with no problems. (1975) Free Moving Barbie--EX+ Doll, wears her original bodysuit and skirt. Face makeup is mint and long hair is beautiful, retied with new ribbon. Not sure how the mechanism on the back works as she seems a little loose. Body is EX+ with no marks or stains. Both legs bend and click perfectly. There is a little dent mark on the top of her left hand (probably from holding an acessory). HTF doll that you will love! As Is.

1976 and Newer Barbie Dolls

(1976) Fashion Fireworks Barbie #1 (NRFB)--This one is very hard to find in the box. She is truly NRFB but there are some sections on the top of the plastic bubble that are cracked and missing and there is some scotch tape over the fractures (See pictures). Doll has her original head cello. Bathing suit has 2 small spots where her breast has rubbed on the plastic for all these years. This is just the doll. There are no clothing items attached to her. A great MINT doll to add to your collection!

(1979) Pretty Changes Barbie--NM Doll, comes in her original outift with jumpsuit, shawl, skirt, hat, shoes, earrings and ring. Everything is minty but for a tiny spec on the bottom of her skirt and pants leg. Should wash off. She's just as perfect as they come. A really special doll! As Is

(1980) Western Winking Barbie (NRFB)--A very interesting doll that winks. This one has never been removed from her box so she is perfectly mint. Her box is EX, but there is a 2 inch tear on the top left of the box. She's a real favorite among collectors, so grab this one while you can!

(1981) Pink & Pretty Barbie (NRFB)--A beautiful doll that has never been removed from her box. She looks just like she did back in 1981. Box is in EX condition with no rips or stains. Very little shelf-wear. What a pretty doll!
